We are looking for graduate students, postdocs, fellows or instructors who would like to teach Introductory Physics in the Spring 2026 semester. Physics 151 is a first semester intro course for science and engineering majors. Physics 132 is a second semester intro course for life-science majors. We seek instructors for the lecture components of each of these courses. This is a paid, part-time position for the duration of the Spring semester, which runs approximately from 1/29/2026 - 5/15/2026.
If you are looking for teaching experience, e.g., to support a future job in academia, this could be a great opportunity for you. The materials for these courses have been developed and available to you. We will also provide support from teaching colleagues and will assign TA(s). During the semester, you could develop a teaching statement to support future job applications.
If you are interested, please apply by sending an email to Chris at [email protected]. Please include in your email a resume and a description of your teaching experience and your teaching goals. We will arrange meetings with interested people starting the week of October 13. For full consideration, please let us know of your interest by that time. We will continue to review applications until both positions are filled.
If you have questions about how this role would fit around other responsibilities (as a student, postdoc, or research fellow, for example), please contact Carlo at [email protected] or Chris at [email protected] any time.
