Physics wins APS award for undergraduate education!

The Physics Department was recognized with an IUPE (Improving Undergraduate Physics Education Award) as one of only four institutions nationwide designated as a 2025-2027 Department of Distinction.  The award letter states that the APS  "Committee on Education was impressed by the University of Massachusetts Amherst Physics Department’s sustained effort, data-driven decision making, survey-based monitoring of progress, and commitment to continued improvements."
