Physics graduate student Ajit Kumar was recognized with a Distinguished Teaching Award, the most prestigious student-initiated award on campus. Congratulations, Ajit!

Physics graduate student Ajit Kumar was recognized with a Distinguished Teaching Award, the most prestigious student-initiated award on campus. The award is given to  only five faculty members and two graduate students across all departments.  Ajit has distinguished himself at all levels of teaching, ranging from introductory service courses to high-level graduate courses.  In addition to working as a teaching assistant, he has served as the primary instructor in both winter and summer session courses. His research is in quantum field theories, and is supervised by Dr. Ben Heidenreich.  Congratulations, Ajit!
