Stéphane Willocq appointed deputy spokesperson of ATLAS collaboration

Prof. Stéphane Willocq has been appointed deputy spokesperson of the ATLAS experiment, the largest physics collaboration in the world located at the Large Hadron Collider near Geneva. His term will start in March 2023. Willocq has previously served as the Physics Coordinator for this collaboration that includes over 5000 scientists and engineers from all over the world. A team of five faculty and several graduate students and postdocs represent the UMass effort at the world's largest particle collider. Willocq was recognized as a UMass Spotlight Scholar in 2019 for his role in advancing the UMass research effort at ATLAS.
