Prof. Michael Ramsey-Musolf has been recognized with the prestigious 2023 Herman Feshbach prize of the American Physical Society.  This is the apex prize of the APS in theoretical nuclear physics, and the citation speaks to his "seminal contributions in precision electroweak studies of nuclear and hadronic systems, making fundamental symmetry experiments powerful probes of strong interactions and new physics".  The prize will be awarded at the APS meeting in April 2023. In addition to his contributions to nuclear physics, the biography accompanying the prize citation also recognizes his advocacy for inclusion of sexual and gender minorities in the discipline.  Ramsey-Musolf is also the director of the Amherst Centre for Fundamental Interactions at the Department of Physics.   This the second time a UMass physicist has won this coveted prize - Prof Barry Holstein was the 2019 awardee.
