Quantum Information Meets Collider Physics
Dorival Gonçalves (Oklahoma State University)
Quantum tomography (QT) provides a systematic framework to reconstruct spin density matrices at colliders, encoding polarization and spin correlations. By reframing measurements as superpositions of polarized subprocesses, QT offers a richer and more precise window into the dynamics of particle interactions. In this talk, I will review recent progress in applying quantum information science methods to collider physics, with emphasis on top quark pairs, dibosons, and Higgs decays. These studies not only sharpen our understanding of Standard Model dynamics but also open new avenues for precision tests and searches for new physics.
