PHY-192M: Introduction to Measurement Using the Arduino
This course is recommended for all first-year physics majors. This course is designed to provide students with the skills and confidence to solve experimental challenges that are at first beyond their skillset. Key skills to be developed: i) Designing, making, and trouble-shooting an apparatus to measure a physical quantity. ii) Familiarity with hardware-software interface. iii) Finding help on technical matters from books, web, colleagues, professors, etc. iv) Feeling confident of completing a technical task of one's own. No technical experience is needed.
