PHY-114: Theory of Sound with Appl. to Speech and Hearing Science
Fundamentals of wave motion, vibration of strings, sound waves, resonance, harmonic analysis, sound intensity and the decibel, physics of the ear and theories of hearing, physics of speech, elementary properties of microphones and speakers. Prerequisite to COMDIS 311, 312.
For communication disorders majors; open to others.
