Minoring in Philosophy

Students must complete a minimum of five courses including three upper-division courses (300 level or above). Normally, students organize their study so as to focus on one area within philosophy. A student planning to minor in philosophy should consult an undergraduate advisor.

Declaring a Minor

A minor is declared after you have taken, or signed up for, at least five philosophy courses.

To declare a minor in Philosophy, you must:

  1. Print and fill out this form.
  2. Have it signed by a departmental advisor.
  3. Return it to the Registrar's Office.
