Professor Julia Jorati has recently been awarded a Faculty Research Grant/Healey Endowment Grant. The award will help Professor Jorati produce two scholarly monographs that "examine philosophical debates about slavery and race between 1500 and 1800, and to start work on an anthology of important philosophical texts about slavery from the same period." The monographs are under contract with Oxford University Press.
According to the Office of Research Development, the Faculty Research Grant/Healey Endowment Grant program "promotes research, scholarly, and creative activities in all disciplines and fields. The program supports projects that will lead to the production of publications or creative works, attract external funding, increase competitiveness for awards, and enhance faculty recipients’ reputation and research profile."
Congratulations to Julia!
