The UMass Board of Trustees has voted to approve Professor Sophie Horowitz's promotion to Associate Professor with Tenure, effective September 1, and to approve Professor Pete Graham's promotion to Professor, also effective September 1st.
Professor Horowitz works mainly in epistemology. She is currently interested in the relationship between rationality and truth, and in formal questions about how to think about accuracy and partial belief.
Professor Graham works primarily in ethics and metaphysics, and, in particular, on issues at the intersection of the two.
