Valuing Humanities Scholarship

The Valuing Humanities Scholarship was founded through the generosity of former UMass philosophy alum John Kendzierski. Qualifying philosophy majors will be notified towards the end of their junior year that they will receive a one-time tuition grant for their senior year. The amount of the grant varies from year to year, but is expected to be between $2,000 and $4,000. To qualify, a student must be a philosophy major (primary or secondary, but if secondary, their primary major must be in HFA), in-state, and have been designated by the Financial Aid office as having need. Those who meet the criteria will automatically receive the grant, and do not need to apply.
