TITLE: A 2-Dimensional Theory of Argument Strength with Applications

ABSTRACT: I outline a 2-D theory of argument strength, and then apply it to five cases in logic (the "paradoxes of entailment"), cognitive science (the "base rate fallacy" and the "conjunction fallacy"), epistemology (the "principle of indifference"), and Artificial Intelligence (LLMs as estimators of argument strength).
