Patient-Relative Permissions

Abstract: Some people, myself included, believe it is permissible to save one's own life rather than the lives of five strangers.  This talk is partly about John Taurek's argument that if we are right about that, then it is permissible to save one stranger's life rather than the lives of five other strangers.  The talk is also partly about popularity in philosophy. (These two parts are connected.)
