Biographical Statement

Tyler Carpenter graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. His research looked into first the thermodynamics of complex coacervation and related aqueous two-phase separation phenomena. Tyler's honors thesis focused on the idea of using polyelectrolyte complexes as selectively permeable membranes. Tyler enjoys hiking, diving, and skiing, as well as watching movies and listening to records with his friends. He is an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.

Tyler now works as an Automation Engineer with Merck & Co. at their facility in Virginia.
