Rachel majored in Biology with an appreciation for interdisciplinary approaches to scientific research. She worked on understanding protein encapsulation and stabilization with complex coacervates as it applies to drug delivery. Rachel is very interested in cognitive science and morality, particularly the work of Steven Pinker and Sam Harris. When she's not studying she can be found fixing bikes at the UMass Bike Coop or rock climbing.
Rachel is now a microbiology engineer at Kuprion in San Jose, CA.
