Patrick Harney received his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering in 2016, graduating with both University and Departmental Honors. Patrick was also a participant in the iCons (Integrated Concentration in Science) Program. His honors thesis research focused on the use of Coacervate-Based Hemoglobin Stabilization for Artificial Blood Applications. After graduating, Pat first worked as a chemist preparing active pharmaceutical ingredients with Johnson Matthey Pharmaceuticals. He is now a Manufacturing Operations Senior Scientific Associate at Vertex Pharmaceuticals.
