Kiersten O'Connell (she/her)

Biographical Statement

Kiersten is an honors junior chemical engineering student who is also pursuing a concentration in biochemical engineering and a minor in Chinese. In the lab, she is working on microfluidic methods to synthesize mRNA. Outside of academics, she enjoys gymnastics, nature, and writing.

Kiersten is participating in a co-op experience with Abbvie during spring/summer of 2026, and then will be doing a study abroad in Beijing, China in the fall!
