Joshua McGee (he/him)

Biographical Statement

Josh graduated in 2021 with a degree in Chemical Engineering and honors from the Commonwealth Honors College. He was an active member of iCons and Engineers Without Borders. He worked on the design and manufacture of ultra-thin microfluidic devices for protein crystallography, as well as a collaborative project with Prof. John Klier's Lab using microfluidics to synthesize functionalized protein nanoparticles. To pass time he enjoys playing basketball and soccer with friends.

In 2019, Josh participated in the internship program at Covestro.

During summer 2020, Josh participated in a virtual internship program at Merck.

During winter 2020, Josh interned at Lyue Pharma.

Josh was a receipient of an NSF Graduate Research Fellowship and earned at PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University in May 2025. He is now the CSO of Keylicon Biosciences, a startup company working on self-amplifying RNA to unlock new vaccines and therapies.
