Paul M. Collins, Jr., 2015 PEP Fellow, has co-authored an article about Americans’ calls for term limits for Supreme Court justices following the court’s overturning of Roe v. Wade. “Our extensive research on the Supreme Court shows life tenure, while well intended, has had unforeseen consequences,” Collins and his co-author write. “It skews how the confirmation process and judicial decision-making work and causes justices who want to retire to behave like political operatives.” Read more The Conversation.
