M.V. Lee Badgett, Former PEP Steering Committee Member, is cited in an article about the economic strength of “pink money,” the earning and spending power of the LGBTQIA+ community. Badgett, found that when India continued to exclude the LGBTQIA+ minority, it may have been squandering more than $26 billion every year and lost as much as 1.4% of its national output as a result of the discriminatory rule. Read more at India Times
