Donald Tomaskovic-Devey, 2018 PEP Fellow, is quoted in an article about California’s new law requiring the collection of workers pay data by race and gender, as the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s attempts to close the country’s wage gaps. “As the largest local economy in the U.S. and the fifth largest in the world, most global and national firms will come to see this type of data collection as routine, substantially lowering the cost of compliance to other states’ or federal pay data collection mandates,” Tomaskovic-Devey says.
