Brian Whitcomb, 2019 PEP Fellow, coauthored article with Laura B. Blazer on COVID-19 death toll differences between San Francisco and New York. Whitcomb explains that indicators such as population density, household sizes, and public transportation use among other indicators contribute to the differences in coronavirus deaths in San Francisco and New York City.
