Trisha Dehrone, as SPSSI UN/NGO Intern, was one of many that coordinated a Statement on Racism to UN Secretary-General: "Beyond the Human Rights Rhetoric on “Leaving No One Behind:" Integrating the Elimination of Systemic Racism, and Racial and Ethnic Discrimination, into the Implementation of the SDGs".

The statement calls for the the UN to integrate the elimination of systemic racism and racial and ethnic discrimination into the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs. The statement has been endorsed by more than 80 non-governmental organizations, including the American Psychological Association, the International Association for Applied Psychology, the Society of Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and the International Council of Psychologists.
