My research focuses on hazardous weather weather warning systems and creating better linkages among the meteorological, technical, and human dimensions of warning. I direct the Dallas Fort Worth Living Lab, a high-resolution warning system that provides real-time information to stakeholders and that also functions as a platform for advancing warning system research. Current research includes surveying the public after severe weather, modeling human mobility patterns for disaster response, and improving flash flood warning and response.
