• 2019-20 Parents Association Calendar & Handbook: Every fall we mail the Parent Association Calendar & Handbook to the permanent address of each undergraduate. This calendar includes important academic dates as well as our UMatter at UMass booklet which serves as a guide for families on ways to help students manage stress or help parents and family members recognize warning signs. You may also view the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) free resource on talking with your college-bound young adult about alcohol here.
• Alcohol and Drug Policies: UMass Amherst is committed to maintaining a safe and caring community where our students, faculty and staff can flourish. To that end, all members are expected to comply with the University's alcohol and drug policies. Your student should become familiar with this document and make responsible decisions.
