Hillary
Psychology and Neuroscience

Hello! My name is Hillary. I am a sophomore studying neuroscience and psychology with a minor in IT. As an OURS mentor, I am here to bridge the gap between you and your undiscovered research interests!
I am currently a research assistant at the Self-Regulation, Emotions, And Early Development Lab, and the project that has piqued my interest the most so far is the Tantrum Study. This study focuses on understanding tantrum behaviors in children with the use of wearable devices. Our goal in the long term is to predict tantrums before they happen with the use of advanced computer science methods! My primary work thus far has involved data coding and running participants through the study.
All my research experience has equipped me to guide my mentees in both research methodologies and the broader intersections of psychology and neuroscience. My journey embodies curiosity, dedication, and a passion for understanding the human mind. I understand how tedious the process of finding opportunities that best suit you might be, and I can’t wait to help.
