Department TEval Report: Environmental Conservation

The Environmental Conservation department (Year One) is addressing the TEval goals as follows.

The department of Environmental Conservation has been engaged in integrating the use of learning goals (LGs) for all courses. Four faculty members have implemented these in their courses, by using pre/post content questions aligned with identified learning goals to measure learning outcomes (LOs). This work is ongoing within the department as it seeks to expand the number of faculty measuring LOs with content questions. Environmental conservation collects and reviews syllabi to promote discussion around LGs and the alignment of LOs. They have implemented post-advising surveys from advisees to emphasize the importance of advising for merit and promotion. This spring and into the fall of 2020 the department will explore the use of teaching portfolios that include the TEval rubric dimensions.
