The Biochemistry and Molecular Biology department (Year Two) is addressing the TEval goals as follows.
The department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) has been engaged in the TEval project in the following ways: A group of faculty and colleagues, including two from other departments, are piloting a peer observation protocol with the intent to use peer observation as a tool to support faculty teaching practices within the department. BMB is also adding prompts to the Annual Faculty Review (AFR) that describe teaching innovations and best practices. Now that BMB has aligned their curricular learning objectives with their disciplinary society’s accreditation program, they are moving toward a longer term goal of mapping individual course assessments with course learning goals.
