The University of Massachusetts Amherst performed very well in a recent ranking of nursing degree programs. College Factual ranks programs offered by 4-year U.S. Colleges and Universities and has recently updated their 2018 rankings.

Breast Cancer Survivors Sought for Study on Fatigue

The College of Nursing's Dr. Rachel K. Walker is seeking breast cancer survivors to participate in a study on fatigue. 

Participants must be between 50 and 70 years old and have completed chemotherapy within the last six months to five years. 

Participation would require one trip to campus.

Former Nursing Dean, Dr. Lillian Goodman, Passes Away at Age 94

So many of our faculty and alumni still talk of Dr. Lillian Goodman and her impact on nursing. She was one of thirteen children and was a freshman in 1941 when Pearl Harbor happened. She served as Dean at Umass Amherst College of Nursing from 1970-1972.

On Thursday, December 7th, over 100 nurses were inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing, at the University of Massachusetts Campus Center. Of the nurses inducted, about 60 were UMass Amherst undergraduate and graduate students.
