Her research interests are end of life decision making, family caregiver support, and supportive care in cancer. Her teaching interests lie in ethics, philosophical inquiry, and critical care.

Dr. Elaine Marieb, a beloved graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst College of Nursing died December 20th at the age of 82. Born in Northampton, MA, she passed away in Naples, FL.

Cynthia Kuehner, a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) student and Commanding Officer at the U.S. Naval Hosptial Okinawa (Usnho), Japan was recently inducted into the American Academy of Nursing.

Before that, she presented at the annual APMHE (Asia Pacific Military Health Exchange) Conference in China in September 2018.
