Assistant Dean and EPA Adviser Speaks Out About Climate Change and Children's Health

Howett is a member of an advisory board to the United States Environmental Protection Agency. She met with other advisers in Washington D.C.

New Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs Appointed

Cynthia Jacelon, PhD RN-BC CRRN FGSA FAAN, has been appointed as Interim Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the College of Nursing for the 2018-2019 academic year. Prior to this appointment, Jacelon directed the College of Nursing’s PhD program for six years and has been teaching at UMass Amherst since 1994.

The following day, Friday, May 11th, commencement was held for both graduate and undergraduates on campus.
