Skinner Hall

Current full-time, part-time, and adjunct Elaine Marieb College of Nursing faculty teaching in any program or track are invited to join us for the inaugural EMCON Faculty Connection on Teaching and Practice Workshop. This all-day event, taking place in Skinner Hall room 12, aims to provide a forum at the beginning of each semester where faculty can come together, share important clinical knowledge and research updates, and practice foundational clinical skills in a safe and supportive environment. Workshops aim to highlight emerging nursing practice issues and research that can help support effective and up-to-date teaching across all EMCON prelicensure programs and curricula. Lunch will be provided.

Topics for this first workshop may include:

  • Overview of local practice partner priorities and considerations when working with nursing students
  • Updates and overview of foundational clinical skills and simulations in the EMCON curriculum
  • Evidence-informed and recommended practices when gloving and for IV infusion therapy
  • Death care for digital bodies

This event is being organized by Gina Grabowski, Rae Walker, Kristy Pereira, and Sheila Pennell.
