Join us for a thoughtful, action-focused discussion about how we, as individuals and as a community, can better care for the LGBTQ+ population at the end of life. Together we'll reflect on our experiences, share ideas and struggles, and learn practical ways to create a more inclusive, compassionate, and dignified space for everyone.
This workshop, facilitated by Dr. Amanda Slobe, is for anyone who wants to make end-of-life care better. Whether you're a medical professional, caregiver, volunteer, student, or community member, this workshop will be a space for participants to gain deeper insights and practical strategies to create a sense of dignity, belonging, and inclusion for LGBTQ+-identified patients and their loved ones.
About Dr. Amanda Slobe

Dr. Amanda Slobe (she/her) is an experienced leader and dynamic researcher with a proven track record of driving organizational effectiveness and enhancing member-centric approaches in healthcare, cybersecurity, and education. As a queer woman and scholar of queer identity, Dr. Slobe’s research and advocacy focuses on fostering inclusivity, knowledge sharing, and equity within organizations, with a particular emphasis on improving end-of-life care for LGBTQ+ individuals. Driven by her passion for creating dignified experiences for all, Dr. Slobe combines her expertise in leadership development, cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven insights to make a lasting impact on the communities she serves. Dr. Slobe’s research in leadership and learning in organizations brings a unique blend of strategic vision, empathy, and innovation to her work, empowering organizations to embrace inclusivity and excellence.
