College of Nursing UMASS Amherst and the Massachusetts response to COVID-19

College of Nursing Dean Cynthia Jacelon sent the following message to all students, faculty and staff at the College on April 10, 2020:

The Massachusetts response to the COVID-19 pandemic is rapidly evolving, and at the present time there is a critical need for patient care technicians in post acute care.
In addition to the Governor’s Executive Order to allow nursing graduates and senior nursing students in their last semester to perform nursing functions prior to taking the licensure exam, there are several other volunteer and paid opportunities for all nursing students from across the Commonwealth. Below are links to Massachusetts web sites where you can find out more about these opportunities.
