Tuition and Fees

Please see the University of Massachusetts Amherst Bursar website for information about undergraduate tuition and fees.

Note that there is a $75 per credit Nursing program fee for Nursing (NUR) classes. See the Bursar Office list of Other Fees.

In addition to tuition, fees, and living expenses, Nursing students should factor in the following estimated expenses beginning in the spring of sophomore year:

  • Clinical expenses such as drug testing, fingerprinting, student liability insurance:  $300
  • Laptop (one-time purchase): variable
  • Software, books:  $500
  • One-time purchase of uniforms, shoes, name badge, stethoscope, and watch:  $300
  • Personal expenses, transportation, parking:  $1400
  • One-time cost of NCLEX testing preparation package:  $800

Students must provide their own transportation to clinical agencies. Carpooling is highly encouraged and it is required at some clinical sites.

Fees are subject to change. Every effort is made to keep costs as low as feasible.
