Favorite thing about being a UMass Amherst student: The passion of the student base is incredible. Whether it be student organizations, political activism, marching band, or anything else, UMass students put everything they have into what they love.

Most interesting thing you’ve done or place you’ve been as part of your UMass experience: I was fortunate enough to get involved in the student business community my freshman year as co-manager at the Sylvan Snack Bar. If you didn't know, UMass has the largest network of student-run cooperative businesses in the country with seven total!

Any words of advice for new students? Go out and try new things! The best way to make friends is to bond over common interests and you might learn something new about yourself in the process.

Hobbies/Interests/Spare Time Activities: National parks, live music, cooperative economics, the intersection of music and culture, grassroots organizing, pre-history and human evolution, and sustainable/equitable development.
