The University Club & Restaurant is hosting a special prix fixe, four-course dinner for Valentine’s Day on Saturday, Feb. 14 from 5-10 p.m.
The cost is $40 per person plus tax and gratuity. Cash, credit, YCMP and Dining Dollars are accepted.
The menu includes a first course of arugula, fennel and beluga lentil salad with roasted beet walnut vinaigrette, puree of sunchoke soup with brioche croutons and whipped goat cheese, or roasted butternut squash and braised endive salad with pomegranate, pistachio and maple vinaigrette. Second course choices are seared tuna with smoked oyster cream, pickled radish and crispy fingerlings, foie gras torchon smoked duck breast with cherry preserves, frisee and toasted brioche; or wild mushroom ravioli with hazelnut brown butter, tarragon and parsnip cream. Main course choices are roasted Chilean sea bass, cauliflower cream, buttered spinach, baby potato confit and caviar butter sauce; trued chicken breast with chestnut puree, royal trumpet mushrooms and braised kale; thyme-marinated grilled prime strip loin with caramelized celery root, roasted heirloom carrots, cipolini onions and port wine jus; or baby beet tarte tatin with fresh herb vinaigrette and green apple and kohlrabi salad. Desserts include red berry creme brulee, melted chocolate tart, strawberry Bavarian, and a cookie/sorbet selection.
