AMHERST, Mass. - More than 70 community service agencies will be represented when the University of Massachusetts holds it sixth annual Fall Volunteer Fair Mon. Sept. 14, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Campus Center auditorium.
Students and other members of the campus community are invited to learn more about volunteer or internship opportunities in human services, the environment, law/advocacy, government, and the arts. AmeriCorps and the Peace Corps will also be represented at the fair.
A special reception from 10:30 to 11 a.m. will be held, also in the auditorium, for members of the provost’s committee on service learning and the University’s field experience program to meet with agency representatives. Faculty members interested in promoting community service or service learning in their classes are invited to both the reception and the fair to develop contacts and resources for their students.
