UMass Amherst Celebrating International Education Week Nov. 18-22

 

As part of International Education Week, the university is hosting events beginning Nov. 18 though 22 celebrating international exchange, the richness of cultures from around the world, education and community.

The week kicks off Monday, Nov. 18 at the International Programs Office (IPO) with drop-in hours showcasing UMass Senior, Justin Risely photo exhibit “WANDER: excerpts from Asia,” from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Risley’s photo exhibit will be on display throughout the week in the International Programs Office at 70 Butterfield Terrace on the first floor and is open to the public.

Other events include a coffee hour where students and other community members can meet over free coffee, tea and international snacks; an immigration panel discussing “Life after UMass;” a welcome reception for UMass international faculty and staff; and an early screening of the documentary “Lost and Found.” The week ends with International Student Day with UMass Hockey, featuring a pre-game reception followed by cheering on the UMass hockey team as they battle Merrimack.
