AMHERST, Mass. – The Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst reminds Ware students that they are eligible for the Charles P. McQuaid scholarship, which will cover approximately 70 percent of in-state tuition and fees. One new scholarship is awarded yearly for incoming students from Ware and its surrounding communities.
McQuaid, a 1974 graduate and a Ware native, funds the endowed scholarship in order to provide students similar opportunities that he had.
The four-year, renewable scholarship will be awarded to a qualified student from Ware. If a suitable applicant is not identified from Ware, students from the Massachusetts towns of Belchertown, Hardwick, Palmer, Warren and West Brookfield will then be considered. Once initially awarded, scholarships will continue as long as students maintain a 3.5 GPA and remain enrolled in the Isenberg School throughout their fourth year as an undergraduate.
The Isenberg School of Management is rated the No. 1 public undergraduate business program in the Northeast by U.S. News & World Report, 2019. Students can apply to the Isenberg School at umass.edu/admissions and the fall application deadline is Jan. 15. Accepted candidates from Ware and surrounding communities will be automatically considered.
