Nagurney Delivers Keynote at the Amazon Consumer Science Summit

Anna Nagurney, John F. Smith Memorial Professor of Operations Management at the Isenberg School of Management, delivered a keynote talk at the Amazon Consumer Science Summit, a virtual event, which took place Sept. 28-Oct. 1.

The title of her presentation was, “Optimization of Food Supply Chain Networks: Why Quality, Trade Instruments, and Labor All Matter.” Her host was Mauricio Resende, a principal scientist with Amazon's Transportation Services organization.

According to Amazon, 1,800 attendees at the summit represented more than 90 countries.

There were 5 keynote speakers at the conference, representing UMass Amherst (Isenberg), Stanford, UPenn (Wharton), New York University and the University of Maryland.
