Music Faculty Play on Grammy-Nominated Recording

Eric Berlin, Greg Spiridopoulos, Stephen Walt and John Bottomley of the music and dance department play on a Grammy Award-nominated recording by the Albany Symphony Orchestra.

The recording on the Naxos label of John Corigliano’s work “Conjurer,” a concerto for percussionist and string orchestra, is nominated in the Best Classical Music Solo Instrumentalist category and features Dame Evelyn Glennie on percussion.

Berlin is principal trumpet, Spiridopoulos is principal trombone and Walt is principal bassoon with the symphony. Bottomley played principal tuba on the recording.
