AMHERST, Mass. – The Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst announces a Full-time MBA Fellowship program—an innovative partnership that offers these MBA students two years of full financial support along with health care benefits and an annual stipend. In exchange, students in the program have an opportunity to grow professionally by helping the Isenberg School handle its strategic and operational challenges.
With its more than 5,000 students and 42,000 alumni in 72 countries, the Isenberg School faces administrative and internal managerial challenges that call for a spectrum of management skills. To that end, MBA fellows apply their current strengths and expand their skill sets in competitive analysis, strategic planning, financial analysis, marketing, and operations—all on behalf of the school. They will also tackle social entrepreneurship and service projects with Isenberg’s growing roster of business and nonprofit partners.
“Our Full-time MBA program is small by design,” says Mark A. Fuller, dean of the Isenberg School. “That allows us to secure exceptional experiential opportunities for our students—challenges that accelerate professional growth.” He says the size of the program confers other advantages: a collaborative MBA culture, a highly accessible faculty, and high-impact internship and career opportunities.
Isenberg’s Full-time MBA program is the sixth most upwardly mobile program in the national rankings over the last four years, according to U.S. News & World Report. It currently ranks 51st in the nation, 24th among public universities. And it ranks 10th in the nation in Princeton Review’s Best Classroom Experience category. The MBA Fellowship program, then, is an innovative opportunity for students to grow professionally while helping Isenberg manage its own rapid growth and national reputation.
