Harold Grotevant, Rudd Family Foundation Chair in the psychology department, has been appointed by Gov. Deval Patrick to a state task force on adoption.
The task force was created by legislation passed during the 2013 session “to study ways to reduce the costs and delays of the adoption process in the commonwealth” and to make “recommendations for legislative or regulatory changes to reduce costs of the adoption process and to make adoptions more easily available.”
Members of the panel were appointed by the House, Senate and governor.
The task force held its first meeting last month and will make its final report later this year.
