Embeddable Media Webstream Available for Governor Charlie Baker’s UMass Amherst Undergraduate Commencement Address on Friday, May 10

The University of Massachusetts Amherst will provide a media-dedicated live webstream of its Undergraduate Commencement ceremonies, including Governor Charlie Baker’s keynote address to the graduating class,
on Friday, May 10.

The commencement ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m., and
Gov. Baker should be introduced at approximately 5:45 p.m. He will speak for approximately 15 minutes. Please note that the final schedule may be adjusted due to inclement weather.

While the university will have a public webstream on its website, a separate media-only feed of the entire commencement ceremony will be available at this link:

Embed code for the stream is:

<div id='wowza_player'></div>

<script id='player_embed' src='//player.cloud.wowza.com/hosted/nfykbfxv/wowza.js' type='text/javascript'></script>

Source URL: https://player.cloud.wowza.com/hosted/nfykbfxv/player.html

This will be a “clean,” high-quality stream with neither a bug nor captions applied by the university or its production partners. There will be no fee to access this stream.

Please feel free to use this stream however your organization sees fit, in its entirety or only for Gov. Baker’s address, either via embed or, if applicable, as part of your live news broadcasts.

If preferred, an HMTP (hyper mail transfer protocol) stream is also available simultaneously and directly from the encoders to a network destination. Please contact Jared Sharpe for details.

Please apply a video credit of “University of Massachusetts Amherst” to the video, and please do not share the link address (URL) with your audience.

Following the ceremony, Gov. Baker’s address will also be available as a high-quality download via FTP. A link to this download will be sent upon request when the file is available.
