CTL to Host Session on Online Language Teaching Practices

Teaching languages online presents particular pedagogical challenges since language learning is an inherently social process. Join the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) on Tuesday, January, 19 at 10:30 a.m. to learn from three language instructors who successfully adapted their teaching practices to the online environment: Yuki Yoshimura (Japanese); Luiz Amaral (Portuguese); and Julia Feldhaus (German). 

Brian Baldi and Kirsten Helmer (CTL) will further highlight what they've learned from UMass students and literature about what works for online language teaching. Participants will also be able to share their own successes and innovations with online language instruction.
