The College of Engineering will hold its fifth annual Outstanding Alumni Awards Celebration on Friday, Sept. 26 during Homecoming Weekend.
The celebration will include two events. The first is a Leadership Panel featuring award winners and taking place at 3:30 p.m. in 162-75 Campus Center. The second, the Outstanding Alumni Awards and Reception, will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the Marriott Room, 11th floor of the Campus Center and will involve the presentation of Outstanding Senior and Junior Alumni Awards to eight individuals who, through exemplary accomplishments, epitomize the potential of an education at the College of Engineering.
The Outstanding Senior Alumni Awards are given to alumni who have brought recognition and honor to the College of Engineering through their professional achievements, leadership and service to the profession, university and society. This year’s winners are Daniel Adams, B.S., M.S., civil engineering; Dave Barry, B.S., mechanical engineering; Robert (Bob) Hagerty, B.S., industrial engineering operations research, and David White, B.S., industrial engineering; M.S., manufacturing engineering.
The Outstanding Junior Alumni Awards honor those who are worthy ambassadors for the College of Engineering and have shown extraordinary effort and notable success in their early careers. The recipients are Rakesh Keswani, B.S., industrial engineering; Bing Mei, Ph.D., chemical engineering; Vishal Misra, M.S., Ph.D., electrical and computer engineering, and Huiya Wu, B.S., chemical engineering.
