Nutrition major Irene Gao recently served as panelist in a special topic workshop on student mental health during the 2019 Worldwide Universities Network (WUN) annual meeting held in Dublin, Ireland in May.
Leykia Nulan, director of freshman admissions and assistant provost for diversity and enrollment at UMass Amherst, along with five others, received the 2019 Professional of the Year Award at the 2019 New England Association for College Admission Counseling annual conference.
Through a partnership with EMT Academy in Springfield, Mass., UMass Amherst EMS (UMEMS) was able to host an EMT training class on campus during the spring 2019 semester. The group has worked for several years to bring this training back to campus.
