UMass Amherst’s Laboratory of Medical Zoology (LMZ) – home of the national online tick-testing service TickReport – will hold a public forum on ticks and tick-borne disease at the university’s Mt. Ida campus in Newton from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14 in the Campus Center auditorium.
Chancellor Kumble R. Subbaswamy shared a message today with the campus community about the Fiscal Year 2020 budget proposal released by the Senate Ways and Means Committee, which would produce an $8.2 million shortfall for our campus.
Laurel Smith-Doerr, professor of sociology, has been selected as a Fulbright Scholar to Germany for 2019-20. Smith-Doerr will be hosted at the Centre for Globalisation and Governance of the University of Hamburg.
