Manz will give a talk, "Creating a Company of Heroes Through Superleadership," on Thurs., March 13 at 7:30 p.m. at Bowker Auditorium at the University of Massachusetts. Manz will join the faculty of the UMass School of Management next September as the first Nirenberg Professor of Business Leadership.
AMHERST, Mass. - It may be unusual to hear a white middle class writer talking about going to Africa to find her roots, but for new University of Massachusetts MFA professor Noy Holland, usual is kind of a dirty word. That’s because for much of her life, Holland has made change and restlessness something of a religion. Between 1987 and 1996 she lived everywhere from Montana to New York City to coastal Africa, never staying in one place for longer than a year.
AMHERST, Mass. - Four students from Hampden, Hampshire, or Franklin counties who attend or plan to attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst -- and have a demonstrated financial need -- will be awarded scholarships this spring from the Louis W. and Mary S. Doherty Scholarship Fund. The fund provides eligible students with between $4,000 and $5,000 each academic year. It can also be used in concert with any matching contributions from University donors.
