This year’s UMass Amherst Community Campaign (UMACC) raised $482,488, exceeding its $450,000 goal. Since the campaign began in 1990, faculty, staff and retirees have now donated over $10 million to nonprofit organizations locally and around the world. This year’s campaign also broke the record for the most money raised in a single campaign ($476,666), set in 2008-09.

The Town of Amherst is hosting an early presidential primary voting event on campus for any student registered to vote at their dorm address and voters, including students, registered in any precinct in Amherst. This early voting option will be available in Bartlett Hall, room 316A on Feb. 25, 26, or 27 between 4 and 7:30 p.m.

Applications for this year’s Barbara B. Burn Memorial Scholarship for international undergraduate students are open through Friday, March 6. The $1,000 scholarship was established in memory of the International Programs Office’s founder, Barbara B. Burn.
Matt Naeger, a senior trumpet major, recently performed as part of this year’s Mid-Atlantic Collegiate Jazz Orchestra (MACJO) in Rockville, MD. Seniors Jacob Kaplan, saxophone; Ben Powell; guitar, as well as freshman Coleman Hovey, piano, were also chosen to perform on selected pieces at this prestigious event.
